| DigiTel Expands to Cover the Kenai Peninsula |

(ANCHORAGE, AK) – Alaskan wireless phone carrier DigiTel announces expansion onto the Kenai Peninsula as part of its statewide expansion plan. DigiTel’s new Soldotna store front, which opened in June, carries the popular Motorola and Nokia phones; special package plans ranging from $39.99 to $99.99 a month; and an ActivUnlimited Pay as You Go offering.
“Aside from offering Kenai and Soldotna residents great coverage with our expanded network, we have very competitive prices,” says Jeff Roe, chief operating officer of DigiTel. “When we entered the Fairbanks market earlier this year, customers were very appreciative of a more affordable rate plan and our contract-free offerings.”
To celebrate their expansion on the Kenai Peninsula, DigiTel is offering a special rate plan of $39.99 per month for local calls, decreased from $49.99 per month, through July. The unlimited rate plan includes a free Motorola ROKR phone. Customers can also receive up to three additional lines for $24.95 per month for unlimited local calls, each with a free Samsung A870 phone.
When traveling out of state, DigiTel customers can take advantage of its exclusive, multi-year agreement with Sprint Nextel, one of the nation’s largest carriers, which provides DigiTel customers with a high-speed data network, SMS and voice while they are in the Lower 48.
